June Is Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month

Below are a few facts about Alzheimer’s disease:

  1. Half of adults aged 85 and over have Alzheimer’s
  2. More than half of the 5.4 Americans with the disease may not know they have it
  3. More women have Alzheimer’s
  4. The incidence of Alzheimer’s will increase to every 33 seconds by 2050.
  5. Your heart and head are closely related (High BP, high cholesterol, Diabetes, Poor Diet, and non-active lifestyle) So it’s important to know your numbers

Alzheimer’s Disease is costly, not only financially, but emotionally.  If you have been diagnosed or have a loved one who’s diagnosed, I want to extend my heart. You are not alone. You still have a good life ahead of you — we just need to come up with a plan to help you along this new path.

There is no cure, but there’s tons of help.
